State Govt committed to all round development: J'khand CM

Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today said the state government is committed for all round development of the state and intended speedy progress through participation of people.
He said here that the government wants people's participation in making schemes to their execution, adding that was the reason for including people's suggestions through pre-budget conferences.
Stating that the government was simplifying acts for welfare of the poor, Das urged political/social organisations for constructive thought and cooperation in the development of the state, an official release said.
Several important suggestions had come during the pre-budget conferences and most of them in the interest of the state would be included in the budget, Das said and cited how suggestion for a single widow system for agriculture had come last time and was introduced.
Even after 70 years of Independence only 38 lakh households have electricity and the state was making efforts in providing electricity to 30 lakh more households, he said.
The country's soul resides in the villages, but their condition in the last 70 years were not hidden, Das said.
He said the government's intention and policy were plain and it decided to remake Jharkhand a developed state.
The Chief Minister said only politics had happened so far in the name of poverty and tribals, but the government has set a goal to end poverty.
Urging to understand the importance of water and stop its wastage, Das said 85 ponds would be constructed in North Chhotanagpur Division and the government was committed to providing 24 hours irrigation to farmers.
Illegal coal mining and pilferage of coal would not be tolerated and the officials concerned would be responsible for that, the release quoting the CM, said.
To make Jharkhand prosperous, Das said the government has made several policies, among which Film Policy and Textile Policy have been important.
Maximum employment could be generated through textile industry, he said adding the government had procured two lakh blankets made by members of 'Sakhi Mandals'.
The Chief Minister said the government's aim was to end poverty in the villages and it could happen only by improving people's condition in villages.
