Student murdered in Ayodhya

A gang of six unidentified persons today hacked a college student to death on the premises of a mosque in Ayodhya, police said.
Mohammad Danish (22), a student of a local college, was living on the premises of Pir Paigambar Mosque built inside the mausoleum of Hazrat Shish Paigambar.
According to sources, a gang of about six persons armed with sharp-edged weapon entered the mosque premises today evening and attacked Danish.
Hearing his cry, locals rushed Danish to a hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
The Faizabad district administration has deployed a large number of security personnel near the mosque and its surrounding areas to prevent any untoward incident.

Police have registered a case and are investigating the matter, a senior officer said.
