The Vasundhara Raje cabinet, in its first meeting today, decided to review the "discretionary decisions" taken by the erstwhile Congress government in the last six months of its term.
A cabinet sub-committee headed by GC Kataria would review the Ashok Gehlot-led government's "discretionary decisions" taken in the last six months, cabinet Minister R S Rathore told reporters after the meeting at secretariat.
Ahead of the assembly elections, the previous government had announced a number of schemes on discretion basis that needed to be reviewed, Rathore said.
The state government would implement the schemes promised by the BJP in its manifesto, he said.
Besides, the new government would take up welfare programmes on a 60-day timeline, and each department would be directed to take up programmes related to civic amenities and schemes including medical and health, education, urban development, panchayati raj, power, water and irrigation.
The cabinet also decided to resume works of Raje's first term which were closed by the previous government when it came to power in 2008, Rathore said.
