"The SVC has summoned the Director, Agriculture for his personal appearance on August 1 to explain the reasons of his inaction on a complaint lodged before the commission regarding the appointment of Aijaz Ahmad on the basis of fake and forged certificates of BSc Agriculture degree obtained from Dr BR Ambedkar University, Agra," said an officer.
On a complaint lodged by Bilal Ahmad Mantoo, the commission sought a report from the Registrar of the university.
The report submitted by the Registrar was forwarded to the Departmental Vigilance Officer, Directorate of Agriculture for his recommendations to the Director, Agriculture who, in turn, was supposed to submit the final action taken report to the commission by April 4, said the officer, adding that he failed to submit it before the deadline.
