Mahajan was speaking at the foundation-laying ceremony of Indore Municipal Corporation's Council Hall and first phase of its secretariat buiding.
The Speaker said IMC is the backbone of Indore's development. Therefore, it should have a proper infrastructure so that it can develop best basic facilities in the city.
Indore Mayor Krishna Murari Moghe said the first phase of the secretariat building will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 17 crore.
He also said a Rs 300-crore sewage treatment plant will be constructed in the city, the commercial hub of Madhya Pradesh.
