"We have made adequate security arrangements to deal with this situation," Arora said today.
Following INLD leader Abhay Chautala's call to undertake digging of SYL canal for faster implementation of the apex court's pro-Haryana verdict over sharing of the river waters, Punjab has sought 10 companies of paramilitary force which the DGP hoped to be deployed by tomorrow.
Arora said the status quo (on the issue of SYL) as ordered by the Supreme Court would not be allowed to be disturbed.
Punjab police, meanwhile, also announced traffic diversion plans today to ensure that commuters from Punjab or Chandigarh to Delhi or Haryana and back should not face any problem.
