When her husband Karthik Ram Sahu returned home from duty, he raised an alarm on finding Khemlata lying in a pool of blood.
Khemlata was rushed to Tata Main Hospital, where doctors declared her brought dead, the police said.
The police suspect that the murder was committed by someone known to the family.
Family members of the victim claimed that some biscuits were found on a plate in the room, which led them to believe that a familiar person was involved in the murder.
