Impressed with the AAP government's efforts towards making the city open-defection free, the Telangana government has sought its help in implementing community toilet complex project in that state.
The Kejriwal government has built 8,000 toilets in the city in the last two years as part of its efforts to achieve the target of making Delhi open-defection free by June.
The office of Telangana Urban Minister, Kalvakuntla Taraka Rama Rao, has written to Delhi government's Media Advisor Arunoday Prakash seeking details of the community toilet project.
"We are impressed with the work done by the Govt of Delhi...We request you to help us understand the insights of the project details," the written communication stated.
Last week, the Delhi government had dedicated 633 community toilets in 14 JJ (Jhhuggi-Jhopari) clusters across the capital.
It has also plans to construct 5,000 toilets in various areas of city.
