Taj TV, the company which owns Ten Sports has entered into a deal with Dorna Sports that holds rights for MotoGP, for five seasons starting 2015, the company said in a statement today.
As a part of this deal, Ten Sports will broadcast all MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3 races and qualifying practices live on their network of six channels in the Indian sub-continent, it added.
Commenting on the development, Ten Sports Global CEO Rajesh Sethi said: "We are very excited to embark on this new journey with Dorna. We are committed to building this property in India over the next five years and viewers will witness unprecedented MotoGP programming initiatives on Ten Sports Network."
Taj TV is the subsidiary of media major Zee group.
Ten Sports has plans to offer multi-screen feeds on its digital platforms and will develop a dedicated MotoGP section on its portal.
The 2015 MotoGP season begins in Qatar on March 27 with the first of 18 races in the 2015 MotoGP Calendar.
