Tension grips village after idols found broken

According to police sources, the trouble started yesterday after devotees found that the idols at the temple were broken.

There was a protest against the incident, following which extra police force has been deployed in the area as a precautionary measure, they said.

New idols will soon be installed in the temple, the sources added.
