Tension gripped Sarwar town in Ajmer district following a confrontation between two groups of different communities over a trivial issue of parking.
The situation is under control and additional forces have been deployed in the area, additional SP Ramdev Singh said.
"Tension broke out after a heated exchange of words between the members of two communities last evening over an issue of parking place for people coming to a religious place," he said.
He said that some miscreants also burnt a motorcycle and tried to disrupt harmony following which section 144 of CrPC was imposed last night.
The officer informed that no one could be arrested and the situation in the area is under control.
