A commanding officer of a Territorial Army Battalion was thrashed by a subordinate officer in Baramulla district of Kashmir last week, defence sources said today.
The Commanding officer of 161 T A Battalion, located at Sheeri in Baramulla district, was beaten up by a subordinate officer following a heated argument over some personal issue, the sources said.
They said the incident took place last weekend and was immediately reported to the superior officers of the Army.
A Brigadier has been appointed to inquire into the incident and recommend action as per the Army rules, the sources said.
Colonel Brijesh Pandey, Army's Colonel (GS) IW, said there was an argument between the commanding officer and his subordinate few days back.
"The things did not come to blows but an inquiry has been ordered to ascertain the facts as there is no room for acts of indiscipline or insubordination," he said.
