The submissions were made before the bench, comprising Chief Justice Ashok Bhushan and Justice A M Shaffique, when it was considering public interest petitions on matters related to child trafficking to Kerala from other states.
The bench heard the case of a religious organisation bringing 29 children, allegedly without valid documents, recently to Kochi.
According to the state government, children were brought here for providing them better education.
However, one of the petitioners 'Thampu', an NGO, pointed out the case of 16 children brought from Arunachal Pradesh recently.
The bench directed the District Child Welfare Committee to ascertain the wish of the children and inform the court by day after tomorrow.
The bench will hear all related matters on Thursday.
