The budget session of the Haryana assembly will commence on March 5.
The state cabinet, in a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today, took the decision.
The cabinet also approved enhancing the limit of petty grant a minister can approved to needy persons and institutions from Rs 6 lakh to Rs 25 lakh per annum, according to an official release.
The state cabinet also approved the amendment in the policy for Innovative Financing of Mass Rapid Transit System (MRTS) Projects.
As per the amendment, the ground coverage in case of commercial use cases has been increased to 60 per cent. However, other parameters regarding parking and open space would remain unaltered.
The Haryana Building Code-2017 allows the ground coverage of commercial projects up to 60 per cent, whereas the ground coverage was restricted to 50 per cent in Transit Oriented Development (TOD) zone as per the policy.
Further, the permissible Floor Area Ratio (FAR) in TOD zone (500/800 metres) is double the permissible FAR for normal case of commercial colony that is outside TOD zone, said the release.
The state cabinet also approved changing the name of the Environment Department to the Environment and Climate Change Department.
It approved amendments in Haryana Architecture Technical (Group C) Service Rules, notified on October 26, 1990. The rules would be known as the Haryana Architecture Technical (Group C) Service (Amendment) Rules, 2018.
As per the amendments, Diploma in Architectural Assistantship with Hindi or Sanskrit up to Matric or Higher Education will be required for appointment through direct recruitment on the post of Assistant Draftsman.
Similarly, three-year experience as Assistant Draftsman along with Hindi or Sanskrit up to Matric or Higher Education will be required for appointment on transfer or deputation basis, according to the release.
