The trio was abducted yesterday and rescued two hours later by volunteers of Anjuman Islahi Muahshra (AIM) and the locals, they said.
The three were travelling in a rice-laden jeep in the early hours when the incident took place. Their jeep was also hijacked by the abductors, the police said.
AIM chief coordinator told media that the abductees were found after two hours of search.
Three youths who were moving suspiciously at Lilong Ngangou were chased by a dozen volunteers who managed to overpower two of them. One of them however escaped, the AIM chief coordinator said.
The miscreant who escaped has been identified as Md Saddam (20).
Meanwhile, the CID said it has taken the duo into its custody, while the absconder is still at large.
