One Vishwanathan of Velliyankadu was in love with the girl but she had spurned it.
Angered over this, he took the help of three of his friends and started teasing the girl and even threatened her with dire consequences.
On a complaint from the girl's parents, police registered cases against the youth under and arrested three, including Vishwanathan. There were on the lookout for another person, police said.
