Three youths have been arrested for allegedly indulging in betting over a match of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL), police said.
Acting on a tip-off, a police team conducted a raid at Mayank Bhawan near Laxmi Cinema Complex here and arrested the three persons for betting activities over an IPL game on April 19, Superintendent of Police Anish Gupta told reporters.
The SP said around Rs 50,000 in cash and other electronic items have been recovered from the trio.
A case has been registered in this connection and further investigation is underway, he added.
