According to a statement issued by Nepal Army headquarters, three soldiers from the Nepal Army who were deployed under MONSUCO (United Nations Stabilisation Mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo) Mission Congo, to carry out peace keeping operations, were ambushed by the rebellion group called Allied Democratic Front on Sunday.
While patrolling the Mbao area of of the D R Congo the soldiers were attacked by the rebels.
The injured soldiers were admitted to a hospital and they are now out of danger, the statement said.
The rebels later bowed to international pressure and withdrew from the city to allow the commencement of peace talks, being held on and off in neighbouring Uganda.
Some 800,000 people have fled fighting since the M23 launched its rebellion last year.
