Personnel of Assam Rifles along with Tirap Police and CRPF arrested the rebels from Dadam village under Khonsa, the district headquarters, yesterday during a joint operation, continuing for the past two days, a press release said here today.
The operation was a major success as self styled Sergeant Major Khunphoa Sumnyan, Khonsa town Commander of NSCN (IM) was arrested along with two more NSCN (IM) cadres and the ULCA cadre, the release said.
