On the intervening night of July 21 and 22, the four girls scaled the wall of Prayas shelter home using their dupattas and fled, they said.
After being rescued, all the three girls were admitted to the AIIMS Trauma Centre for injuries they had received while fleeing. Two of them have been discharged while the other is still undergoing treatment, police said.
One of the girls was from Hardoi in Uttar Pradesh. She was sent to the shelter home on the order of Child Welfare Committee after being rescued from New Delhi Railway Station. Her parents were informed and asked to take her back.
The other two girls belong to Delhi. They had fled from their homes and after they were found, they refused to go with their parents, following which they were sent to the shelter home.
Police are probing the reason behind them fleeing the shelter home.
