Police say three Russians have been detained for lighting flares and shouting anti-Polish slogans outside the country's embassy in Moscow.
The men unfurled a banner today and threw flares toward the Polish embassy before being tackled by guards.
They were from the fringe opposition group The Other Russia, which said it was responding to Monday's riot in Warsaw when Polish nationalists broke into the Russian embassy there and set a guard's booth ablaze during an independence day march.
The group held up a sign reading "Russia is from Warsaw to Port Arthur" the name for the modern-day Chinese city of Lushunkou pressing for a return to Russia's imperial borders.
The Russian Empire once occupied a large part of present-day Poland.
