Three staff members of the government-run Sevashram in Odisha's Nayagarh district were suspended today in the wake of death of a girl student after consuming food, officials said.
The three staff of the residential school at Kendua under Ranapur block were placed under suspension with immediate effect due to negligence and dereliction of duty, Nayagarh district Collector Hemant Padhy said.
Those suspended were head master Krushna Chandra Sahu, assistant superintendent of the hostel Sabita Manjari and cook Mamata Biswal, he said.
