"The tigress named 'Bina-1' was shifted to the core area of Sariska. She is kept in an enclosure initially," an official said.

Carried out by experts, the relocation process was supervised by state Forest and Enviroment Minister Bina Kak who reached Ranthambore in Sawaimadhopur district yesteday and arrived here today.

With this shifting, the number of big cats in Sariska went up to 8 (including two cubs).

Sariska, which had once lost all its tigers due to a series of poaching incidents, is now home to four tigresses, two tigers and as many cubs.
