The TMC leadership has asked party leaders from the districts to reach out to the people with the developmental work that has been done by the government to stop "canards spread by opposition parties", party sources at party headquarters Trinamool Bhawan here said,
The party has been boosted by its "massive victory" in the recent civic polls in the state and wants to jump into the preparation for assembly just after the festive season in Bengal ends.
The party has asked its leaders to highlight the success of 'Kanyasree, Jal Dharo jal Bharo, sops for minority communities, Rs 2 per kg rice to BPL families among other social welfare schemes of the government.
"We will also highlight the relief and rehabilitation work that has been done during the recent floods in Bengal. The sops that was given to the farmers who lost their corps in the floods," said a party leader.
