Tamil Nadu Governor K Rosaiah today condoled the death of veteran Congress leader V C Shukla.
Describing him as a great Parliamentarian, he said Shukla dedicated himself for the cause of the people and for the upliftment of downtrodden.
"The life of an outstanding statesman has been snatched away by the coward act of Maoists. His death is an irreparable loss to the nation," Rosaiah said in his condolence message.
Shukla died at a hospital in Gurgaon after battling injuries suffered in a deadly naxal attack on a convoy of party leaders a fortnight ago.
