Addressing a press conference here today, Ramadoss said eight teams captained by star players like India number one and two, Sameer Varma (Air India) and Abhimanyu Singh of Madhya Pradesh and Subhankar Dey (Number 4-Maharashtra) would compete for top honours in the league sponsored by Lining-SLT India and 100 PLUS.
The name of the teams are Fire Birds, Marina Smashers, Falcon Fire, Legion Lions, Kovai Kings, Royal Knights, Hindustan Racquets and Vellore Warriors.
According to a press release by the organisers, the Icon players would be Sanave Thomas, Alwin Francis, Arun Vishnu, Nandagopal, Sameer Varma, Sourabh Verma, Shlok Ramachandran, Sanyam and Bennett, Suraj PH, Gopi Raju, Ram C Vijay, Arjun Kumar Reddy and Arun George.
Among girls, Ruthvika Shivani, P C Tulsi, Rituparna, Sayali Gokhale, Tanvi lad, Vrushali Malthankar, Kanika Kanwal would be competing amongst the eight teams.
