Balakrishna, who visited the cyclone-affected areas here, said that Tollywood has always come to the help of people affected by calamities like floods and cyclones in the country.
"Even my late father NT Rama Rao, before he entered politics, used to collect donations to help the victims along with other film industry personalities. I will also raise funds by organising programmes," he said.
The Hindupur MLA, who also met Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, said it was the responsibility of all to extend a helping hand to cyclone victims and support the state government as it works to bring normalcy back to the affected areas.
