The 15-member police team led by Delhi Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Pramod Singh Kushwaha, arrived in Bhagalpur yesterday to continue probe against the jailed AAP leader, accused of faking his graduation and law degrees.
It realised that the vital form was missing while searching through the records in five sections connected with university's examination department.
A Bihar police official said six persons including former examination controllers of TMBU, Rajendra Prasad and R R Poddar were questioned by the police team in this connection.
They are also planning to question a former vice-chancellor during whose tenure Tomar purportedly obtained the degree.
"The probe team also asked the university officials to make available all the required records and documents immediately, and warned them of initiating legal action against them if they fail to do so," the police official said.
The Delhi police team is also conducting videography of the probe and related documents. It is expected to stay put in Bhagalpur for a couple of days further.
Tomar, an MLA from Trinagar constituency in Delhi, was arrested on June 9 following a probe into the complaint by the Bar Council of Delhi that he had obtained a fake law degree from a college in Munger, which was affiliated to TMBU.
Tomar on Sunday failed to get bail in the alleged forged degree case from a Delhi court which remanded him to 14 days judicial custody and sent to Tihar prison.
