Tourism dept to organise laser show for Vaishnodevi pilgrims

To make travel and trade industries of Katra more vibrant and pro-visitors, state tourism department today announced to organise a laser show for pilgrims at the base camp of the cave shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi.
"A laser show will soon be organised for the visiting pilgrims at the base camp, Katra. In this regard, the project is being prepared by ITDC," Director Tourism, Soujanya Sharma said during a joint meeting of Hoteliers, Travel Associations and officers of departments concerned.
More wayside facilities will also be created in a phased manner, the tourism department official said.
Sharma informed that necessary certificates from department concerned like PCB, Fire Services and Municipal Committee be obtained and produced to the Tourism Department for renewal of Registration Certificates of Hotel and Guest Houses.

He also appealed the hoteliers and travel associations to inform pilgrims about other tourist places of the state to further add to tourism industry.
