In a special event at Raj Bhawan, BJP MLA from the Garhi assembly constituency Jeet Mal Khant today took oath as a Minister of State in Vasundhara Raje's council of ministers, an official spokesman said.
Khant, who could not come on time from his Banswara district due to long distance, was administered the oath of office by Governor Kalyan Singh at a special event organised around 7:15 pm, the Raj Bhawan spokesman said.
Earlier in the day, 14 others were inducted in Raje's council of ministers. With Khant's inclusion, the total number of newly inducted ministers reached 15.
Khant is a three-time MLA. Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje was present on the occasion.
