As a token gift of Dree, Tuki announced the opening of the Indira Gandhi Technical & Medical Science University, official sources informed.
The first private university of the state is slated to start its academic session from this year.
To facilitate its functioning at an earlier date, Tuki has directed the administration to coordinate with urban development department to hand over the infrastructure at Ziro through a special arrangement till a permanent campus of the university comes up.
Giving a boost to the health service sector in the valley, Tuki also accepted in principle (the proposal) to run the Ziro District Hospital under the PPP mode with the University.
