The N Dubz singer will be represented by Luber Roklin Entertainment in Los Angeles and is flying to the city soon for meetings as she attempts to launch an acting career, reported Daily Mirror.
Her agent Mara Santino said, "We are super-excited to represent Tulisa and introduce her talents to the American TV and film industry."
"Tulisa has shunned all reality TV offers as she wants her career to take a serious direction. She has always acted and has dreamed of being in films. This is set to be her big break. She has been low-key lately as she wants to rebrand herself," a source said.
Meanwhile, Tulisa, 27, recently released new music for the first time in over a year.
Tulisa features on Carnao Beats' new single 'Love You for Tonight' and previously insisted she wasn't planning a new album any time soon.
