TVS is into two-wheeler and three-wheeler manufacturing.
"We are planning to invest in the next three years about Rs 800 crore in motorcycles, castings, plastics across our businesses," Srinivasan told reporters here.
The investments include expansion of plant capacities and also in the Joint Venture with BMW Motorrad, the two-wheeler division of German luxury car maker BMW, with which it stuck a deal a few years ago.
"Typically, the investments for motorcycles will be going from 2 million to 2.5 million. And yes, for the Joint Venture with TVS-BMW Motorrad and for Sundaram-Clayton (TVS Group company)," he said in reply to a query.
"We have trained engineers, polytechnic graduates coming up (every year) and it is a very responsive government. I think, it (Tamil Nadu) is really a investment destination in the country," he said.
