"BEO Sudeshwar Sah was arrested when he was accepting Rs 25,000 from one Sunil Kumar Jha for the advancement of the government middle school at Pokhraira in Samastipur. He had demanded Rs 50,000," Vigilance Director General PK Thakur said.
Acting on Jha's complaint, the Vigilance Investigation Bureau (VIB) constituted a team which caught Sah near New Secretariat in Patna.
Circle Inspector Sanjay Singh had demanded Rs 1 lakh from one Lalan Singh for mutation of land.
An additional Rs 11,000 was also recovered from him.
Both the accused are being interrogated. They will be presented before the special vigilance court tomorrow.
