Two cops arrested for taking bribe from bar owner

Two policemen were arrested today by a vigilance bureau team here when they were allegedly accepting a bribe from a bar owner for removing his name from an investigation report.
Vigilance Bureau sleuths laid a trap and arrested Sub Inspector Satish Daggar and ASI Roshan Lal when they were taking the bribe amount of Rs 20,000 at a market in Sector-14 area.
The police had recently raided the bar as it was serving hookah to its customers despite a ban on it, and arrested its manager, he said.
Daggar is the in-charge of Sector-14 police post under the Civil Line police station and Lal is his subordinate.
