Aparna Kumar, who is serving as Deputy Inspector General of Uttar Pradesh Police, became the first woman IPS officer to climb the world's highest peak last week.
Suhail Sharma, a 2012 batch Maharashtra-cadre IPS officer, and Rafiq Shaikh, a constable of Maharashtra Police, too have scaled it.
The three police personnel were felicitated by the Home Minister at a small function held at his office in North Block here where he appreciated their efforts.
Home Ministry officials were present during the felicitation of the three adventurists.
