With this, the total number of arrests has risen to five, Sarkar said, adding, that the two arrested had been named in the FIR lodged by the girl's father at Dhupguri police station on September 2, the same day her body was recovered.
The suspects will be produced in Sub-divisional judicial magistrate's (SDJM) court in Jalpaiguri later in the day.
The body of a naked girl who went to a reconciliation meeting to save her father, a farmer, from being tormented for having failed to pay for a tractor he had hired was recovered from the railway tracks at Dhupguri in Jalpaiguri district.
