Condensed from Aoife McArdle's short film, the 'Every Breaking Wave' visual follows the loves, tragedies and triumphs of a group of Belfast teenagers, reported Rolling Stone magazine.
Set against the violence of the Troubles, music and blossoming young love help a young man navigate through turbulent times.
'Every Breaking Wave' is the second single released from Songs of Innocence, the album that topped Rolling Stone's 2014 chart.
The track was originally written for No Line on the Horizon, but was reworked for last year's LP by Danger Mouse and Ryan Tedder.
