Unattributed banners accusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi of "saving" Congress president Sonia Gandhi in the AgustaWestland chopper deal controversy were today spotted in some parts of the city.
Reacting sharply to the banners, Delhi BJP termed it as "dirty" politics by AAP and filed a complaint with Commissioner of Police, demanding necessary action.
"The posters and banners were seen in many areas including Tilak Nagar, Ashok Vihar, Munirka and Akshardham. A written complaint has been submitted to the police commissioner in this regard," Delhi BJP spokesman Praveen Kapoor said.
The language used in the banners was "derogatory" and "similar" to that used by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal against Modi, Delhi BJP president Satish Upadhyay claimed.
"It is quite obvious that these banners have connection with Aam Aadmi Party," he further claimed.
He also alleged that AAP MLA Jarnail Singh is tweeting it since morning and promoting it on social media.
Upadhyay said he has complained to the Delhi Police commissioner in this regard, demanding an investigation to identify the persons behind the banners.
