Additional Sessions judge Omvir Singh also imposed a fine of Rs 1,000 on Nasim, who was already under trial in a different case, after finding him guilty under sections 18 and 20 of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS) Act.
"150 gram of charas was seized from inmate Nasim in barrack number 16 in district jail on March 13, 2016," said government lawyer Anjum Khan.
Police registered a case against Nasim under NDPS act on the complaint of Deputy Jailer Mahender Singh after which the trial started.
