NITI Aayog member V K Saraswat today suggested reorganisation of the Industrial Training Institutions (ITIs) in Telangana by appointing skilled personnel and providing various facilities.
Saraswat held a meeting with several senior officials of the state government here today.
The interaction was organised as per the issues discussed in a meeting, chaired by the Prime Minister, on National Skill Development Mission, a state government release quoted Saraswat as saying.
Noting that the country could not take full advantage of the large population of youth in the last several decades, he said the advantage can now be drawn for the next three decades.
The trainees should have soft skills, Saraswat said, adding they should be helped in getting jobs in companies which provide funds under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
The NITI Aayog member also appreciated the efforts of the state in tribal welfare and advised that the sports talent among tribal youth should be encouraged, it added.
