The challenge for electro house, say music fans remains a shortfall in the quality of producers.
"I believe the electro-house clubbing scene in India is no different from the rest of the world. We have caught up with the West incredibly fast. Having said that, India definitely has a shortfall of quality electro house producers," says Joshi, a EDM producer.
Joshi, says he has consciously chosen to call himself just that with no first or second names.
"Indian DJs are going international and also to tier II cities like Indore, Ahmedabad and Chandigarh where the dance music scene is building up," says Sharan Behl and Akshat Kumar partner at World Music Stage, a forum formed to promote dance music in the country.
Upcoming Indian artists such as Progressive Brothers, Sartek, Zaden are popular among Indian but also play with top electro dance music Djs internationally.
