"The victim Aryanka Hosbetkar deposed in the court and identified Jerrit John as the person who threw chemical on her. She also stood by the prosecution's case," chief public prosecutor Kalpana Chavan told PTI.
Hosbetkar would be cross-examined on September 2 by John's lawyer.
According to police, John, who owns production house 'No Nonsense' and has produced or directed television serials, flung the chemical at the 26-year-old Hosbetkar in 2012 at her residence at Adarsh Colony in Worli here after their relations had soured.
John is in jail since his arrest after the attack.
