Rathi, who has been associated with Videocon for over eight years, was earlier national head for the group's consumer durable sales across India, the company said in a statement today.
Videocon Industries Chairman Venugopal N Dhoot said: "His expertise in planning, market strategy, analyses and product management will be invaluable to the company, going forward."
He started his career with Videocon before moving on to TCL and then came back to head its all-India sales division.
He has also worked with LG Electronics and Electrolux.
