Videocon Wallcam, the security surveillance brand of Videocon Telecom, is approaching schools with its indigenously made cameras and tracking devices to offer comprehensive security solutions for these institutions.
Videocon Telecom CEO Arvind Bali said the newly formed entity has already talked to a few schools in north India and will do the same for private schools operating in the eastern part of the country.
"We are planning to approach a few private schools here next week. We have a complete range of security systems on offer from Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) school badges to school bus tracking system and boom barriers," he said.
Bali said that the eastern region security and surveillance market is likely to grow four-fold from the current market size of Rs 600 crore to Rs 2,300 crore by 2021 and the brand is eying 10-12 per cent market share by 2021.
In terms of pricing, the company is keeping its products up to 15 per cent cheaper than competition making video surveillance affordable for the end-users.
The company is offering a complete home video surveillance solution of four cameras and DVR starting Rs 6,500.
