Villagers damage vehicles after child killed in accident
As the news of the death of a 10-year-old child after being hit by a truck spread in the area, the agitated villagers blocked Allahabad-Bhadohi-Varanasi highway and pelted stones on vehicles, damaging a dozen of them.
The villagers lifted the blockade after three hours when authorities assured compensation of Rs one lakh to the victim's family.
The truck driver has also been arrested.
