The downpour since morning created problem of water-logging in many areas of Patna.
The capital city recorded 85.9 mm rainfall in the past 24 hours, Met office said.
Bhagalpur registered 245.6 mm rain, while it was 14.2 mm in Bhagalpur and 1.2 mm in Purnea, it said.
Maximum temperature in Patna was recorded at 31.4 degrees Celsius. It was 27.7 degrees Celsius in the temple town of Gaya, while Bhagalpur recorded 33.8 degrees Celsius and Purnea 34 degrees Celsius, the bulletin said.
The state weather office has forecast generally cloudy sky with moderate rain in the next 24 hours.
