"If AAP is voted to power, the new government would induct an industrialist or trader as finance minister to promote industry, which has been ruined during Parkash Singh Badal's regime," he told a gathering of businessmen in Batala.
Batala is a prominent industrial hub and the Delhi deputy chief minister was in the town to campaign for party's state convener Gurpreet Singh Ghuggi, who is contesting from Batala.
"We have also charted out a plan wherein incentives will be given to industry in the border region," he said.
In Batala, 75 per cent of foundries have closed due to the "lop-sided industrial polices and high tax structure" imposed by the Badal government, he alleged.
Sisodia said an AAP government will give special emphasis on setting up cottage industries in villages and the new units will automatically translate into employment opportunities.
