The stock slipped 1.78 per cent to settle at Rs 589.10 on BSE. During the day, it lost 2.4 per cent to Rs 585.35.
At NSE, shares of the company dipped 1.75 per cent to Rs 588.85.
According to reports, the woman also claimed that she was paid far less than male staff, earning up to 75,000 pounds per annum rather than the typical 150,000 pounds paid to male equivalents.
"Wipro does not comment on its ongoing lawsuits and is committed to the principle of equal employment opportunity and provides all our employees with a work environment that is free from discrimination and harassment of any kind. Wipro is defending these allegations before the court," the IT major said in a statement.
"Following an impartial inquiry, both were relieved from the services of the company after it was established beyond reasonable doubt that they had violated the stated policy," it added.
"Wipro takes serious objection to scurrilous allegations made against the company and will initiate legal action to defend itself against insidious and defamatory allegations," the statement said.
