Woman dies in road mishap in J-K

A woman was today killed when the bike which her husband was riding was hit by an Army vehicle in the Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.
"The husband of the woman was trying to overtake the army vehicle from the wrong side when the accident occurred," a police officer said.
He said that the identity of the deceased could not be ascertained as the police team investigating the case was yet to return.
"A law and order problem has occurred in the area and the police team that has gone to the spot is yet to return," the officer said.

The Army said that it would offer all sort of cooperation to the police in investigating the case and would also initiate a court of enquiry in the incident.
"We offer our condolences and will fully cooperate with the police in their investigations," an army spokesman said.
